So It Wasn't A Rumor

Dick Macsherry has been appointted Cape Vincent Deputy Supervisor.  So according to what Macsherry said last summer when he and Bob Brown were busy along with the CV ZBA creating a zoning fiasco, we really don't need to take our laws literally!

And don't forget.  The guy Hirshey picked for Dep. Super. ran along with Rienbeck as a Dem.

And wasn't it so respectful to the voters for Hirschey to just up and select a non elected person to this position.

So what was all that hoopla about voting,!

  1. The very fact that the comments on JLL about this are positive horrified me and proves JLL is not an open forum. Shame on you Rick!

  2. But that isn't even the best part. In 2009 Macsherry ran for office as a Dem all cozied up to the Rienbeck gang. Shoulder to shoulder.

Now for months and months the Hirschey PR blogs have been telling us how
we must vote Rep against those evil CV Dems. Yet based on Dick Macs history, Urban appoints a Dem as dep super. And his fan club just loves it!

So they sacrifice Rep Oswald and Urban appoints a former Dem who was a buddy of Rienbeck and now we have 2 Dems not one on the town board.

He really pulled a fast one.

Now I don't care if Macsherry WAS a Dem and may have changed. But here is what you have to ask yourself. How in the hell can a supposed smart guy cozy up to the pro wind side at ANY point, and by his admission be ready to negotiate the town away to industrial wind at one point.

Talk about a gross and severe lack of judgment. And this is our new dep. Super!

And the Hirschey PR group think crowd over at JLL can't get enough!

And Hirschey just scammed them big time!

  3. What message does this send to the citizens? First Clif, John and especially Brooks not quite good enough to be deputy. It also sends a message that Urban doesn't care that Macsherry is an unelected choice. Yes its legal but it's a slap in the face. We should be concerned he is now the deputy supervisor, on the planning board and on the art x committee, talk about a power vacuum. We worked hard to rid our town of bp and yet Urban's choice is someone who calls himself a negotiator, we should all be concerned. Why is Brooks silent on this issue?

  4. Maybe Hirschey's in a hurry to get his solar project approved.
