New Cape Vincent Zoning Law Is Available

The new Cape Vincent Zoning Law is available to download from the Town of Cape Vincent Website.

One thing I noticed right off under the industrial wind regulations is that there is no property value assurance plan that was being hyped for a long time as the saving grace to drive off the wind developers.  Everybody thought i was nuts for objecting to that ridiculous scheme. That's interesting, I wonder why that got dropped. I guess the people in the CV interior will just have to suck it up if you end up living with gigantic wind turbines and your property values go to poop!!!  Sure glad my cottage is in the protected waterfront areas and not back by the town of Lyme.  Sure nice of our town to be thinking of Lyme and Clayton and give those towns a whole 6 x the turbine height buffer.  Yippie!!!!  For a 400 ft, turbine that is 2400 ft., or less than 1/2 mile.  Keeping in mind of course that nearest damn Wolfe Is. turbines are about 2 miles from the Village of CV.  No impact there right?  Yup ... that 6 x turbine height should do the trick.

And putting industrial wind turbines of who knows what size (400 - 500 ft???) 1.25 from 12E thinking that is going to protect a scenic byway????...are they kidding????

Could it be that that the PVA was and is a bogus and bad idea to begin with and that probably even the new zoning lawyer told them it would not hold up.  Gee did anybody suggest that in the past??????

Wind Turbines on Wolfe Is.  In  the new CV zoning law setbacks of  1.25 miles
from  a  scenic  byway,  and    schools, and hamlets????  Who the hell is this zoning law
    trying to  fool???????
