What Does the Town Board Do Next????

In 2009 and 2011 we were encouraged to vote for this current town board.  They were the answer...the road to salvation from wind.  They have put up some pretty tough fronts lately with BP.  Good. I applaud that.   However, at the same time  they insisit on following Art X. where they gave over the final outcome of our law to a third party which will let BP negotiate with it.

But what now?

Now they know how badly that game is rigged with this Harris and Harris connection at BP and the NY PSC and the other connections I have made today in other posts. If they continue down the Art X road and not deny getting into a game so badly rigged , then it seems to me they can only do that  if they can find a way to rationalize this blatant truth away and ignore it. Is that possible?  Is their direction so set in stone now there is no turning back no matter what...or what the disaster is ahead?  If that is the case that is not committment, that is irrational.

Like Wiley at JLL says you would have to have just fallen off the turnip truck or come down with yesterdays rain to be able to look at the BP PSC thing and believe their bullshit.  Will our board believe it and charge ahead regardless?

It will be extremely interesting.  I smell another letter to the PSC.   I hope it says sorry we now see that your system is badly rigged against us... so see ya later!  We will now take the defense of our law into our own hands and no longer let you negotiate it away to BP for Cuomo political agenda.

It could very well be that right now, or in the next few days hangs the entire balance of the last two elections and if they have any meaning at all or were we just going through the motions.  The person who calls themself TI on the other blogs has been rather quiet.  They should come on now to councel us.   They have  been a big promoter of the election process and backer of the board.  I would like to hear that person's take on these events surrounding BP and the NY PSC.

The town has been talking tough lately at the same time trying to go along with the Article X process.  Now they look down and the chasm between those two contrary directions is real wide between their feet and they could fall right in. This is how this contradictory game can come back to bight you. I have been saying all along you can't have it both ways.  They just got handed a real mess that is going to test their credibility... and  based on my readership I would say a lot of people are watching very closely right now.

So now what?  Which way do they fall?  The information  in front of them now isn't subtle but  pretty damn blatant, scary and disturbing.  In my opinion to charge ahead with Art X with "business as usual" is going to make them look rather foolish and frankly reckless.   Because if they do Cuomo is going to make us "business as usual", you can bet on it!

I hope they change directions.
