THE BLOGGERS DEFENSE FUND

Right now there is nothing more important in the Cape Vincent wind battle than contributing to the Bloggers Defense Fund.  Two local bloggers are being sued by some pro wind operators and I think it is backed by BP.  Even if it isn't directly backed by BP the suit wouldn't exist if BP had not invaded
our community. Either way they are involved.

Look at it this way.  By contributing you get a lot of bang for you buck on several levels. You can defend the bloggers who have been instrumental in providing information to protect our community.  You can defend their and your right to free speech and to not be intimidated as a community by the threat of large corporate and political power. And you protect your community as well.

In a sense you need to realize WE are basically ALL being sued, and as a result. This fund defends all of us not just the bloggers.

As for me personally and my disagreements with the bloggers...it's not about that right now.  The focus has dramatically shifted.   It's essentially about having the right to even have those disagreements at all and not be intimidated by forces that aren't even based in America yet are consistently chipping away at our precious and basic Constitutional rights through  intimidation and right here on American soil.

  1. Thank you...

The lawsuit is an assault on the entire community including the right for you and Dave to deliver your message. Bp is an enemy of the community who does not want to be destroyed by turbines.

And, yes the next step is when a town has to fight for their NY constitutional rights. Let's not sympathized with anybody other than a staunch anti-wind candidate who will endorse home rule over corporate rule.

And that includes candidate Paul Aubertine.

The lawsuit will serve us well to bring to a head what pro-wind really wants to do to our community.

Five bucks, ten bucks in an envelope or write a note to Box 8 find out how to deliver more if you can afford it.

Do it anonymously if you think they will try to sue you for even speaking out against wind.

Don't laugh! People have already received letters from Atty's of a local farm telling them not to speak out.
