Let's say you have a ground based solar array (SECS) of 100 sq. ft. and you want to site it in the Cape Vincent River Front Dist. (RF) under our new zoning law regulations.
Look in the Table 8 below and see if you can figure out what type of permit it needs.
So what type of permit would you need according to the Table 8? (look at the bottom of the table)
NOW the second question. The are 3 official boards in our town govt. The Town Board, The Planning Board, and the Zoning Board of Appeals, So looking at the page below from our new CV zoning law, which board would you go to, to get that permit and permit approval?

Yeah that is the BIG questions, isn't it??? Not to mention they WROTE the law they apparently can't read!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd did you notice something else strange? This zoning law is the law that is supposed to be developed specifically for participating in the State Art. X process and is supposed to be claimed by the CV zoning experts as the saving grace against BP's wind development.
ReplyDeleteYet they have made a huge screw up reading and applying the very law that they claim is supposed to save us.
Yet this zoning screw up has robbed a CV citizen of her rights, and created significant hardship for her. And despite that have you noticed that neither of the other CV blogs are covering this. They are silent as if it doesn't matter.
And, whats your point Art? just running your mouth? why? Do you feel better now? are you doing a public service or are you making yourself feel like a news reporter?

ReplyDeleteYou are just like our zoning experts who screwed up big time and caused a CV citizen considerable suffering because they didn't get the point either!!!
They are not silent because it doesn't matter. They are silent because it definitely does matter, but there simply is no credible defense to justify the action that the officials took to resolve this issue. Don't forget, Pandora's husband sits on the ZBA, she is not going to hang him out to dry, especially when you are doing a more than adequate job of exposing the story.
ReplyDeleteBoth JLL and Pandora are strong supporters of the current govt. they will not expose any shortcomings , or mishaps that may occur unless they could immediately dispell any hint of faulty judgement.That is not the case with this story.

ReplyDeleteTwo things cross my mind about the other CV blogs on this issue.
1.Not covering this blatant zoning screw up by the current zoning officials certainly calls their credibility into significant question when they dispense information.
2. In my opinion them not covering this means they condone what I believe is unethical behavior by our zoning officials, and it means they must also condone the fact that our zoning experts' screw up that has caused one CV citizen significant hardship who has also suffered a denial of her due process rights three times now. Once with the old govt and twice by this current Hirschey govt.
If the blogs don't cover this and expose what has happened then they should keep their mouths shut on ethics, morality, anything about our law and how great it is, and how we are so lucky to have all these so called zoning experts, and how our law will defend us against BP and Art. X.
It also confirms what I have suspected for a long long time. The other blogs are nothing more than the PR propaganda arms of the current Hirschey govt, and one way or the other take their marching orders from the Hirschey camp!
So keep that in mind when you read those blogs, they are not telling you the whole story...only what is allowed to make it through the Hirschey organization filter. And apparently they don't give a damn who gets hurt in the process!!!
