Threatened???

I noticed this comment on the Pandora blog.

"Speaking of Art Pundt.
Pretty clever of Bp and the CV pro wind
to come in from that direction. Who would have
imagined that he would be one of them? Thank
God our TB did not fall for it. A 1500 mile buffer
on the inside all along."

To the commenter:

I know where I stand and the people that know me and matter to me know exactly where I stand.  I can't worry about the rest.  They believe whatever they want to believe and I can't change that.

On  the other hand it appears your supposed anti wind Mr. Hirschey is a bit confused about where he stands, (see the video linked below) It does in fact look like BP is very clever and you may have NO buffer.  The very unfortunate and frightening thing for you that prompted your comment lies is that more and more people lately are  looking a bit harder at Hirschey and his insiders and their agenda!!!!

  1. I tired to get this comment on Pandora in response to one from a John Richardson comment. I did google the name and did find the same name related to Cape Vincent anti-wind movement.

Sorry I did not believe that you are anti wind.

    My comment:

"My bad take John Richardson. I have been following the PSC case matter for a year. Nothing on there by Mr. Art Pundt of Arizona. And he writes his obsessive disapproval with your town being involved with the PSC. He runs an open campaign and vicious campaign that seems to be intended to remove those involved with your government who are defending your community against the development. Sorry for assuming that he was pro wind. I see nothing coming from him other than falling into the goals of Bp and the pro wind movement who would like to change your government to a Bp favored one. I can't find any record of his involvement to keep out wind other than what I consider to be very crazy and hateful ramblings and an ever increasing vindictive actions. Frankly, I can't understand why you think this person would have any contribution to keeping turbines out of your state. I am active in pushing for the demise of NYS wind and other than the blog this guy runs, I have never heard of him.

  2. 7:02 good luck getting this comment or any other that speaks truthfully about Pundt on either Pandora or JLL. He has no compunction about hurting feelings ,bareing the truth, or expressing opinions contradictory to the policies of the current government.
Since the SLAPP action by voters for wind, both Pandora and JLL will only publish comments or info that paint a positive light on the govt. they advocate for.

Surprising that John Richardson's commendable remarks were published. Kudo's to Mr. Richardson for speaking the truth. in spite of major disagreements with Pundt.

A lesson in integrity that could be learned by others.

  3. I think Art and his local supporter profess using their name but they resort to anon to take their licks.

My family has been is CV business since the late 1930's . I bang around the local organizations since a kid 50 years ago. What I haven't seen around is Art Pundt. Now, that does not take away Art's right to bang on the locals he may be out to get. But it does limit his credibility about the reality of those who do frequent the community and are active and even work together.

Also, my definition of a person who has not compunction about hurting one's feelings is a crazy prick and has nothing to do with integrity.

  4. So Richardson sucked me into stopping by. Nothing significant. Art is still living in the past. This is a distraction of little importance and we are all wasting our time on this kook.

  5. 8:39, take a little more time to read the comments before you respond. Anon. 8:17 was crediting Richardson with integrity ,not Pundt.

Interesting that you believe you're longevity in town gives you a better perspective on current members ,government, and their actions, than Art Pundt's.

Harold Wiley didn't recognize Art Pundt either, guess that means you and Harold know and understand him pretty well.

  6. Art Pundt would give the impression he belongs on the pro-Cape team rather than the pro-wind team, but looks can be deceiving.

Art reminds me of a quick talented guard on Team Cape who has scored 20 points through most of the game, only to have taken a center court shot near the end of the game that scores and drives the crowd wild. Only problem, Art scores on his own goal.

While Art is parading around the floor taking in all the howls and applauds, his team members are saying, "You scored on the wrong goal Art." Art refuses to believe it saying that it was an incredible shot and the rest of you are crazy. Finally, someone has to grab him and point him toward the bleachers, "Look, what side is cheering Art?"

Regardless of what anyone says about Pundt's position on wind in the past, right now the pro-wind crowd is cheering each of Art's epistles, while those of us who have worn the same jersey as Art are hanging our heads saying, "What the hell happened to the guy."

Regardless, if you want to know where Pundt is on local issues just look at who is cheering for the guy.

  7. Very well said. And now he is blaming his former teammates. He is off the team. Now let's get back to work and not be distracted by Art's blunder.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Where Artie made his blunder is going after personalities instead of issues. He failed on the issues so his only recourse is to puff himself up. That is why he has to resort to SAR to make himself important. We are all wasting your time here.on an insignificant diversion and a man with a vendetta.

  9. Discussion about Art should be on his blog, not on the more professional ones. I am glad to see Pandora removed the posts about Art. He is out of the picture on A-X and the PSC wind issue. He has said that himself that he thinks it is a waste of time.

    ReplyDelete
  10. So what do you do after you make a SAR? Rip them a new one for making a mistake and not following procedures? Mock them out? Just how do you handle that?

    ReplyDelete
  11. There is a lot to comment here an the comment section only allows a certain # of words, so I will put my comments below in to comments.

    ReplyDelete
  12. Commenter Geee there is a lot to comment on here. But first to all my commenters.

    Merry Christmas!

Now to the person who made a crack that I use SAR to make me feel important, then you are one sick bastard. You have NO concept of what myself or our team does. You think standing before a distraught family at this time of year who is coming to the realization they may have lost a child makes you feel important? What it makes you feel is helpless and deeply frustrated and sometimes depressed.

First of all as I mentioned on anther post I have been on an intense SAR mission and out of town for the past few days. That is a very sad time. The person who suggest I do SAR to puff up myself is over the line and sick. If you think talking to a family at this time of year who realizes they may have lost a child is fun or I would use that to puff up my ego, then your are sick. Or maybe you should do a few body recoveries if you think it makes you feel important. Unless you have done those things then maybe you should just keep your damn mouth shut. When this SAR is over it will stick with me and my team mates for a long time.

To another commenter who sees to think I have done nothing on the wind issue that wasn't crazy. Have you been living in a cave. I was deeply involved over a couple
years getting the NY AG's office to investigate the old CV wind conflicted govt.

How about the 800 name petition Dave LaMora and I started for a 1 year moratorium
on wind and we had lots of help from WPEG. That petition had lots of potential seasonal and local voters names on it. I talked to Mr. Hirschey last summer and he admitted he thought that petition was critical to he and Brooks being elected the first time around. And if you are running on an ethics platform it doesn't hurt to have the people you are running against being investigated on potential ethics violations.

Somebody said that I should go after policies not personalities. That is a fantasy because they are tied together.

I find it funny that when I was going after the old govt with Reinbeck and Edsall that WPEG and the Hirschey had no problem with my comments or approach. But now if I don't agree with the Hirschey govt then they are sacred and nothing can be said about them that doesn't stick with the script.

And let's keep one thing in mind. My disagreements with this govt is because I don't think they are tough enough about being anti wind. I don't think they are tough enough on a system that stripped away our rights as a community on this issue, instead of appeasing it. So to those who think I am pro wind, go ahead and continue with you delusions.

  13. My comments continued.

Now this next one is funny. One commenter claims I didn’t write the NYPSC. Well clean you glasses because it is comment # 141 under public comments. If this is how you researched me for your comments…then I would suggest to my readers you aren’t very credible to be commenting on any of my wind history. Here is a suggestion. Learn to use Ctl F on your computer to do a word search on a website or document. When I did it took me right to my comments.

As for credibility…I don’t find it credible when a govt writes a zoning law in rush in a panic over Art. X, then can neither apply it correctly or read it. Then run to cover their rear ends instead of doing the right thing and throw an innocent woman and her property under the zoning bus. Even though they admit on video, mind you, that their actions on this zoning fiasco would even hold up in court, but carry on anyhow.

Now the same people and their judgment, or lack or of it, and this law that they admit was rushed in an Art. X and has errors is what we are hinging the entire fate of our community on against the industrial wind onslaught, and the States taking away our home rule. It IS Hirschey’s zoning law…they own it. Not to mention that that even the town supervisor who ran his campaign on a new zoning law, and promoted and passed it apparently can’t read it either and put up and illegal solar project and then took it down. Good luck!

The real bottom line on this is that it just fries their bacon that they were wrong, and much worse that after all this battle with them it was me who caught them in a zoning fiasco with their own law, that in their arrogance they wouldn’t even allow me to have input into. And THEN still allow Mary Grogan to suffer the consequences.

That stretches the willingness to protect this gvt pretty damn far. You would think just one...just one Hirschey loyalist would have stepped forward to say something, or defend Mary Grogan is this zoning fiasco...the only one was Hester Chase to her high credit. And the minute she did the Hirschey supporters went into overdrive to make sure she was marginalized. And people think I am the one with a rough approach!

Now about John Richardson’s comments. I was in total confusion when I read the comments about it on my blog. As I said I have been away on SAR mission and honestly I did not see his comments because apparently Pandy removed them from her blog so I can’t comment either way.

But this does not surprise me that anything referencing me is removed. The hammering on me is OK, because that is the price of the ticket, and I accept the responsibility for my beliefs and actions. The other blogs will not let me post a defense or deny or correct outright lies. To me that lacks total credibility, and is simply a cheap sleazy chicken shit game they play to make sure the Hirschey camp and their supporters have a very structured and tight information bubble where only what they want gets in or out. A system that works overtime so hard to censor alternative opinions and challenges is dangerous and doing an extreme disservice to the community when the issue is so critical. And this would be after all my disagreements with these blogs, I still gave them $500 for the blogger defense fund. Yet regularly they are perfectly happy to print lies about me from their commenters to defend the Hirschey govt. Like I said…chicken shit. The Hirschey zoning committee did the same thing when they refused any input from me. It is a dangerous trend of arrogance and purposeful misdirection to puff up one singular unchallenged agenda.

But to all of you…have a Merry Christmas. Because this holiday season I am going to think about one family who will not have a Merry Christmas because we have not been able to relieve their pain despite all our SAR efforts, and of course as one idiot commenter suggests…

...how important that makes me feel!

"I think Art and his local supporter profess using their name but they resort to anon to take their licks."

What the hell are you talking about? Honestly you don't think I stand up to take my licks???? Where the hell have you been!!!! And about my involvement in the community. First, in the past I was not in CV for a long period. But when I was there longer, and pro wind and the wind developers declared war on the seasonal community and our basic rights and our precious regional environment. Then I got involved even though you might not like it. And don't be so provincial and small minded. I got involved on the wind issue in CV and AZ. This is a regional and national and world wide serious environmental issue.

People go after me because I live in AZ and comment and run a blog on the CV wind issue. This is the cyber and information age and a person can be a virtual citizen anywhere, so that is just a stupid attitude.

You might not like what I do but I have dedicated 8 years to this BS. and this community. Go back and look at some of my photos. I post those because I want to transmit to a lot of people in and beyond CV the beauty of our community and region and how much I love it.

"Discussion about Art should be on his blog, not on the more professional ones"

You mean the other blogs that got sued???? You mean the blogs that use the slime ball techniques of allowing people to lie about me and then won't allow me to respond and censor comments?

Are those the professional blogs you are referring to?

And my question would be why are you here and why are you reading my blog?

  16. Now it occurs to me that all of a sudden since I posted the rumor about Macsherry my blog has suddenly come alive with comments...mostly negative.

Apparently I hit a real nerve.

Now it is bed time! Merry X-mas!

    ReplyDelete
  17. Oh yes, and will somebody please clue me in to what John Richardson said that lit up this comment string?

    ReplyDelete
  18. Merry Christmas to the 'I' king. I went over to the two other "chicken shit blogs" (Art's term) and found that 'King I' referred to himself more in one comment (15 times) than the other blogs combined for the month of December. What this blog is all about is its author, who has this uncontrolled obsession with having the world revolve around him.

    ReplyDelete
  19. I went over to JLL and searched for all those lies Art claims were told about him. Then to PBOR's. In over the many years of posts, I could not find one where the authors wrote anything about Art Punt. I think Art is delusional and should get a grip.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Arn't we being a little childish, Art?

    ReplyDelete
  21. I've not spent much time on this blog, but the appeal of this blog is what appealed to people in the comedy of Don Rickles. People get a kick out of being insulted by Art. It's all about the laughs and the comedy. I think people are laughing at Art. He's funny and his insults are funny. Of course, he will now claim that I am incomprehensible, incompetent and incontinent, spending my Christmas looking for relief. Ha, funny! Art is the cyber-equivalent of Gallagher's Sledge-O-Matic routine - smash everything in sight with his wit and writing instead of Gallagher's wooden mallet.

    ReplyDelete
  22. "Struck a nerve"

    "not afraid to hurt feelings"

Not exactly a legacy to leave.

Nor to be proud of. At a time when there are those of us who indeed would like to heal a bit we have to contend with Wood, Pearson, Aubertine and Pundt.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I find it amusing that after all your criticisms you are still coming here to post your comments. And the anon with the Rickles routine comparison is a hoot. These commenters like us to think they are on the high and mighty road, but then have no problem rushing right over to this blog to attack me, because they probably get blocked on the other blogs.

    What a hoot!

Now let's get off the personal stuff and get back to what must have lit the fuse on all these Hirschey supporter comments.

That would be the subject of Hirschey appointing Dick Macsherry to the dep. supervisor position You know the guy who was all cozy with Reinbeck and his crew and ran on the DEMOCRATIC ticket back in 09. The guy who refused to represent WPEG on the 2008/09 wind law committee.

And this is the guy Hirschey may place one step away from the supervisor job????

Geee what's wrong with this picture???

    ReplyDelete
  24. Oh yes and here is a quote from the man who might be the dep. supervisor and even if he isn't he has been influential in the zoning law process that is supposed to protect our community...Macsherry's quote from the WDT 2011.

"Mr. Edsall had great abilities and we will miss his expertise, but I think this is going to work out to the benefit for everyone. Perhaps through his actions, Mr. Edsall opened the door to use our time to resolve our issues once and for all," he said.

"We should step back for a second and develop a wind zoning law that is prudent but not overly restrictive."

Really. A wind law that is not overly restrictive????? So how many wind turbines would not be "overly restrictive? "

  28. Your post at 12:16
I don't think you got it right, Art.

  29. Which ones come from Dexter, Art?

    ReplyDelete
  30. I'm not going to get into that other than to say it looks like this person is on my blog a lot, and has posted foul comments in the past.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Art, you are being distracted about the point of your work.

    ReplyDelete
  32. 4:00

And that is the point isn't it. To keep me distracted when I hit home with a post since you are the one with the IP address I mentioned above!

Oh... I may wander a bit in comments, but be assured the Macsherry rumor is still front and center, and after all this commenting no one with any credibility has come forward to deny the rumor.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Bless you Art for getting this "rumor" which has been out there for months out in the public for disc.

    ReplyDelete
  34. But, Art? Didn't you want people on your blog a lot?

How is that working out for you?

    ReplyDelete
  35. I searched Art Pundt on the PBOR blog. This is what I got.

He sounds pro wind to me.

"Who is sending out this anti-American anti wind propaganda!!!! Everybody knows that wind turbines do not throw ice and are harmless. I am confident of this because I have been told this many times by the wind companies and our towns. They would not lie to us because after all they are saving the planet and looking out for my welfare.
Besides the towns or Martinsburg and Harrisburg on Tug Hill allow turbines 300 ft from roads. I'm sure they looked into all the scientific facts before allowing those setbacks.

An that foolish Vestas wind turbine manufacturer with their irrational hysterical Commie safety manual saying their workers should not get closer than 1300 ft from an operating turbine. I don't care if they have been making wind turbines for a couple of decades in a country that has the highest wind turbine density per capita in the world.

I have to believe our town wind law committee knows better. I'll take intuition over that complicated science crap any day. They are looking out for us.

Besides how am I going to get no taxes and free electricity if you guys keep harassing these people for these unreasonable setbacks. And if you keep pushing these turbines back, I won't be able to see them and how they will enhance our towns with their graceful beauty.

    Feeling warm, fuzzy, and safe.

    Art Pundt"

  36. Good advice 10:17.

I apologize to the commenter and will remove the ISP.

    ReplyDelete
  37. 10:17 Boy now you are stretching in complete desperation. You are so intent on proving I am pro wind you are actually are searching all my comments? I guess I should be flattered.

Read my comment carefully...are you not sophisticated enough to recognize sarcasm when you see it?????

And by the way when you look up my comments on various media sources, what would be the ratio to this comment you are erroneously convinced is pro wind?

You are actually serious about what you said her about this comment?

Well at least that tells us the limit to your intellect?

    ReplyDelete
  38. Just a follow up 10:17

You claim you searched Pandy's blog and said.. "and this is what I got"

Really...how exactly did you do that since I can find no archive anywhere on her blog to search from...unless of course this comment is from Pandy herself.

But if in your research this is all you could come up with...then you need to go back to school and brush up on your research techniques.

Besides you have a mission on behalf of the Hirschey camp, and if this is what you believe so be it...in your desperation there is nothing I can do about that anyhow.

Anyone who really knows me knows my actual stance, and how foolish people look who try to attach me to the pro wind agenda.
