Yes indeed ... I couldn’t agree more!!!!
It has been reported that Jefferson County Legislator Bobby Ferris has made the following comment regarding wind development off shore in Lake Ontario , and the State and federal endorsement of it.
“What I think we’re trying to do is stop it, stop stupidity from happening."
Well thank you Mr. Ferris for speaking that truth and putting it in simple direct terms. The Jefferson County legislature is opposed to wind development in the Lake as well, and appears to be ready to fight.
There is only one unique resource like the Great Lakes in the world. So let's screw it up with some ENVIRONMENTAL STUPIDITY!!!!
Can you imagine that!!! A public body that speaks the raw truth about wind energy, and seems to be willing to actually take steps and fight against the "stupidity"! Wow what a concept...take a stand and fight. How creative!!! Well Mr. Ferris, I know some other public officials you should have a discussion with about the "stupidity” of this wind energy matter. How about you place a phone call to the Cape Vincent govt officials and ask them why they don't see the “stupidity” and haven't passed two resolutions. One to back you up by opposing wind development in the Lake , and a second by passing a resolution in opposition to Article X.
Ask them why do they refuse to stand against the stupidity in the lake and on shore, instead of playing footsie with the State with a wind law appeasement scheme. Maybe the Jefferson County Legislature could lend them some backbone. The same goes for the other area towns that have tried to "wind law" their way out of this wind fiasco.
It's nice to hear some real commitment against the wind energy "stupidity" instead of this:
But if the County legislature is opposed to wind development in the Lake , it would defy logic to endorse it on land where the impacts on people would be much greater. I hope the Jefferson County and Mr. Ferris understand this concept too.
By the way... for all the Jefferson County legislators. A wind Farm on Galloo Island in the Lake IS wind development IN the Lake. The impact is EXACTLY the same as you are opposing IN the Lake, and it is far past time that you take a stand against wind development on land as well. It is even more STUPID there!!!
