The following pictures are from areas along or very near the St. Lawrence Rd. viewshed in Cape Vincent between the Sand Bay area of Rt.12E and St. Lawrence Corners. This apparently is the area the new Cape Vincent zoning comittee is considering for designation as an industrial zone. There is also an important wetland along this road.
Industrial Zone?????? Hey...I'm just sayin!!!
We can't let them mess this area up with these ROTTEN Turbines! We must continue to fight!The 1000 islands region is no place for these!

ReplyDeleteRight on. But when you say "them" I assume you mean BP or the state. Keep in mind, however, there is another "them" and that is our town board and planning board and zoning committees who have control in this process despite the fear of the article 10 law. At the 1st meeting of the zoning committee there was talk of a wind overlay district that can be for only one thing...turbines in some form. And currentl;y there is NO information as to how that discussion has proceeded or if it has proceeded. It's time to express to our town board and zoning and comp plan committee that industrial turbines in any configuration is NOT acceptable. You don't want the 1st time you hear that there is definitely a wind turbine district to be at the zoning law public hearing because that will be too late.
