The Burton / Pundt Survey!
Now remember, Mrs Burton and I are doing a survey or a test. She claims in her WDT letter our CV govt is run by anti-wind people. I disagree. So we are waiting for our town officers to take this challenge and clear up the misunderstanding in Burton's letter. After all it is well past the election, so I think they should come forward and finally tell us exactly where they stand on the wind issue. A lot of us voted for them, don't you think that is fair? After all we had the Zogby poll and the town officers now know where WE stand...right? So why do they get to hide their position? Still seems to be a lot of confusion. They had their survey at taxpayer expense so they could tune up their campaign message, Now it's time to take OUR survey. It's only fair since we pay their salaries and payed for the Zogby poll.
So here is the survey and it is simple and cheap, not $10,000!
How many of you people on the town govt. are truly anti wind?
Please come to this blog in a post or a comment and declare your anti wind position. Mrs Burton is waiting. My blog is completely open for your to answer in a post or comment to clarify your wind stance whatever it is, or delcare you are anti- wind.
Let's see who responds and we will keep count.
This is a lesson in futility. No town official in his right mind would respond to a survey such as this ,cosidering the vicious, scrutiny he /she would expect to receive.
ReplyDeleteand before you suggest otherwise, to not respond makes no implication as to ones position.
So what you are saying is that no town officer has any responsibility, obligation, or otherwise to inform the public one way or the other of their intentions, beliefs, on an important issue. That we as tax payers of their salaries and voters have no right to know where they stand? And town or other officials should be immune from scrutiny?
ReplyDeleteBy your statement it would then be pointless to vote Democrat or Republican, becuase that would require some differentiation between candidates and what they believed.
I makes me wonder why no town officer (other than Orvis) will clearly define their wind position, now or before the elections. What are they afraid of and what they hiding? It's funny isn't it that the pro wind side ALWAYS stands up and clearly defines their wind position definitively. There is NO question where they stand.
"And you said and before you suggest otherwise, to not respond makes no implication as to ones position."
I agree it is open for any officer to respond, if they don't the readers can determine in their own minds why.
And about the lesson infutility by the way... in case you probably missed it, I posted a similar challenge on JLL about a year ago when the candiates were running and John Byrne and Colleen Knuth actually answered it. I guess they were not in their "right minds" back then.
